Martin Truex Jr is a professional car racer who currently competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He is driving for  Michael Waltrip Racing using the No. 56 Toyota Camry. He has been named the Nationwide Series champion twice, in 2004 and 2005. In addition to being a NASCAR Busch Series Champion, Truex was also named the Busch Series Most Popular Driver in 2004 and 2005.

Martin Lee Truex Jr was born on June 29, 1980 in Mayetta, New Jersey, USA. He started his NASCAR career in 2000 at the Camping World East Series, debuting into the NASCAR Nationwide Series a year later.

As of October 12, 2013, Martin Lee Truex Jr has competed in 292 races over his ten-year career at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He has also participated in 103 races over his ten-year career at the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and in spent two years in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, he has competed in two races.
