Tim Sylvia is a retired American professional mixed martial artist who has an estimated net worth of $500 thousand.

Tim Sylvia began wrestling in high school while attending Ellsworth High School. He got interested in mixed martial arts and eventually trained with fellow bouncer, Marcus Davis.B Being a long time UFC fan, he watched UFC 28, then decided to sold his belongings, and trained with Team Miletich.

He made his professional debut in 2001 for IFC. A year later, Sylvia signed a contract for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He faced several fighters which include Frank Mir, Brandon Vera, and Randy Couture, among others. He was named the UFC Heavyweight Champion twice.

In 2008, he was released from UFC and since then, he has appeared in several promotions which include Adrenaline MMA, Titan Fighting Championship, Fight Tour, ProElite, New England Fights, ONE Championship, Inoki Genome Federation, and Fight Nights. Aside from mixed martial arts, Sylvia had a brief stint as a professional wrestler in 2010 at IGF's Genome 13 event and defeated against fellow mixed martial artist Josh Barnett.
