John Dodson is an American professional mixed martial artist who has an estimated net worth of $240 thousand.
John Dodson joined Moriarty High School's wrestling team. He was a two-time state champion, four-time district champion, and a state runner-up. In 2002, he started his MMA training when he was recruited by fighters Chris Luttrell and Greg Jackson. He played in several submission tournaments before turning pro.
Eventually, he signed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and competed in The Ultimate Fighter: Team Bisping vs. Team Miller in 2011. Dodson was selected to be a part of Team Mayhem, and defeated John Albert via unianimous decision. During the semi-finals, he faced Johnny Bedford and won the fight via KO in the first minute of the second round.
After his successful stint in TUF, Dodson made his debut in UFC in December 2011. He fought several fighters such as Zack Makovsky, John Moraga, Jussier Formiga, and Tim Elliott, among others.
