At the age of two, this artistic gymnast was enrolled by her parents in a gymnastics class and by the age of 11, she was qualified to the International elite in the Junior Olympic Program.
She was part of the US team which placed first in the 2010 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships held in Melbourne Australia. In the same competition, she won in the all-around category. Wieber also competed as part of the US team in the 2012 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships which was held in Everett, Washington. The US team placed first in the said competition.
Wieber participated in the 2012 London Olympics however she wasn't able to move on to the final round despite the fact that she ranked fourth in the qualification round. According to rules, no more than 2 players from the same country could compete in the all-around final round. Nevertheless, the US team got a gold medal for Gymnastics in the London Olympics.
