Tyler Seguin started his career when he joined Whitby Wildcats and where he stayed with for seven years. When he relocated to Brampton, he was able to continue playing hockey for the Toronto Young Nationals.
In 2008 OHL Priority Selection Draft, he was chosen as the 9th overall pick by the Plymouth Whalers. Seguin was supposed to play for a team in NCAA, but he decided to forgo his college eligibility and joined the Whalers instead. During his stint with the Whalers, he received the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy and scored 106 points, 48 goals, and 58 assists.
Seguin landed a spot for Boston Bruins as second overall during the NHL draft process in 2010. While with the team, he led them to win the Stanley Cup on June 15, 2011. Two years later, he was traded to the Dallas Stars.
