Donald Brashear is a retired American-Canadian ice hockey player for Rivière-du-Loup CIMT.

Donald Brashear learned to play hockey when he was a kid. Then he became a professional hockey player, he joined the Montreal Canadiens as a free agent in 1992. He spent three seasons with its affiliate, Fredericton Canadiens before he played for the Canadiens in NHL.

In 1996, he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks. He was known for his aggressive side, as Brashear is involved in physical fight with other hockey players during the game.

He also played in other teams such as Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals and New York Rangers. Brashear had a brief stint in the mixed martial arts scene. He signed with a three fight contract with Ringside MMA.

Donald Maynard Brashear was born on January 7, 1972 in Bedford, Indiana. He has two children from his previous relationship with Gabrielle Desgagne.
