With an estimated net worth of $35 million, Bobby Orr is a retired professional ice hockey player who played for the National Hockey League (NHL).

Widely recognized as one of the greatest hockey players of all time, Bobby Orr spent ten seasons of his career with Boston Ruins and two more seasons with the Chicago Black Hawks.

Orr claimed that he started playing hockey at age 5 as forward. Later on, Royce Tennant, his coach, moved him to defence. On his debut year at the NHL, Orr was considered as the highest paid rookie player. On the other hand, his second NFL contract was the first million-dollar deal in the sport’s history. However, he was forced to sell his assets after his retirement because he was deeply in debt.

From 1968 through 1975, Orr was named as NHL First All-Star Team for eight consecutive times. In 1970, he was named by Sports Illustrated magazine as the Sportsman of the Year. In 1979, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame after three years of waiting.

Bobby Orr is currently married to Margaret Louise "Peggy" Wood. The couple got engaged in December 2012 and in September 2013, the couple got married. Their marriage resulted to the birth of their two sons, Brent and Darren.
