Northern Ireland professional golfer, Darren Christopher Clarke has a net worth of $24 million. A professional since 1990, Clarke has won a total of 22 tournaments. His total prize money in Europe and America now stands at more than £22m. He has sponsorship deals with TaylorMade, Audemars Piguet, Dunlop and Stuburt. He earned a £2m bonus from Dunlop owner Mike Ashley for winning The Open. Sponsorship and other work over the years would normally add at least £18m. But along with his close friend and fellow golfer Lee Westwood, Clarke lost money in buying a 10-seater Challenger 601 Lear jet at the top of the market and selling at the bottom. As a result, he lost £15 million. Clarke's life and career have been marked by some spectacular highs and lows, but 2011 was special, even by his standards. First of all he married former Miss Northern Ireland Alison Campbell on 11 April 2012. The Dungannon-born Clarke lost his wife Heather to breast cancer before playing a central role in an emotional Ryder Cup victory at the K Club, near Dublin. But his crowning glory came in July, when he defied both the elements and the world's best golfers to win The Open at Royal St George's. The event saw him soar up the world rankings and got him into all four of golf's majors over the next five years.
