Annika Sorenstam was born on October 9, 1970 in Bro, Sweden. Since 2009, she has been married to Mike McGee  with whom she has two children named Ava and William McGee. In 1994, she won as the LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, and by 2003, she was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. In 1995, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005, she won LPGA Tour Player of the Year. After winning the Ladies European Tour Rookie of the Year in 1993, Sorenstam won the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit in 1995. She also won the Ladies European Tour Player of the Year in 1995 and 2002.
