She won the silver medal in Junior National Championship on Balance Beam in 2010. She also won the Uneven Bar title in the 2010 “Pan American Championship”. Again in 2012, she won the Gold in Uneven Bars at the “Pacific Rim Championships”. She is the daughter of Natalie Hawkins and Timothy Douglas. She joined gymnastics classes at the early age of 6 when her elder sister Arielle and their mother decided to give her gymnastics training. Coach Dana Walker trained her in Virginia Beach. At the 2004 Virginia State Championship, she won the level-4 all round gymnastics at the age of 8.
