Urban Meyer is an American college football coach and former player who has an estimated net worth of $20 million and an annual salary of $4 million. Born Urban Frank Meyer in July 10, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio, he grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio. He attended the University of Cincinnati where he played college football.
Meyer served as a coach for University of Florida football team. He led the Gators to two BCS National Championship Game victories in the 2006 and 2008 seasons. In 2009, he signed a contract with the team that is worth $24 million for six years, which made him one of the highest-paid coaches in the United States. At the end of the 2009 season, he had a winning percentage of .842, the highest among all the active coaches with a minimum of five full seasons at the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) program. He became the head coach of Gators until 2010. Also, he worked as a college football analyst for the televisions sports network, ESPN in 2011.
Meyer returned to Ohio State Buckeye as the team's head coach in 2012.
