Pete Rose is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) player and manager who has an estimated net worth of $4 million. He was born Peter Edward Rose on April 14, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rose began his professional baseball career in 1963 with the Cincinnati Reds, where he played until 1978. He later played for the Philadelphia Phillies (1979 to 1983) and the Montreal Expos (1984). He returned to the Reds in 1984 and played until 1986. He unofficially retired as a player on November 11, 1986 when he was dropped from the team’s 40-man roster.

He has played on three World Series championship teams and has two Gold Glove awards and three batting titles. He was also an 18-time all star. He holds the MLB records for most career hits (4256), games played (3562), at bats (14,503) and outs (10,328).

Rose managed the Cincinnati Reds from August 15, 1984 to August 24, 1989 with a 426-388 record. His playing and managerial career earned him a total of $7.1 million in salary. It was in 1986 that he had his highest earning year where the Reds had paid him $1 million for managing the team. In 1979, he had his biggest contract as a player when he signed a four year, $3.225 million deal, originally with the Reds. He was paid $905,000 in 1979, $805,000 in 1980, $705,000 in 1981 and $910,000 in 1982.

Rose was denied an inclusion in the Baseball Hall of Fame after it was found out that he bet on Reds games. This decision is still being contested. In January 2013, he appeared in a reality series called Pete Rose: Hits and Mrs on TLC, which followed his relationship with model Kiana Kim.
