Mack Brown is a former American football coach for the Texas Longhorn which has an estimated net worth of $8 million.
Mack Brown started first as a football player for the Vanderbilt Commodores from 1969-1970 and transferred to Florida State Seminoles in 1972.
His coaching career commenced when he began as a student coach for the Florida State in 1973. He was also the wide receivers coach for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in 1979 and Memphis Tigers in 1978.
He worked for other teams such as Iowa State Cyclones, LSU Tigers, and Oklahoma Sooners, as wide receivers coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterback coach. Brown landed the job as head coach at the Appalachian State Mountaineers in 1983.
He also handled Tulane Green Wave from 1985 to 1987, and North Carolina Tar Heels from 1988 to 1997. Brown's contribution as the coach for Texas Longhorn made an impact to the team. He led the team in winning the Rose Bowl in 2006, and also got the Big 12 Championship in 2005 and 2009. He left coaching the team in 2013.
William Mack Brown was born on August 27, 1951 in Cookeville, Tennessee. He finished his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1976. He is active in participating in several community affairs. He has four children with his wife, Sally.
