John Paxson is an American basketball administrator, former coach and basketball player who has an estimated net worth of $4 million.

John Paxson started off his basketball career when he attended Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio. He was one of the best guards in the country and was later named to the McDonald's All-American Team in 1979.

In college, he played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team. Paxson earned the All-America selection during the entire stint for the team. With Notre Dame, he finished with 1,366 points, 411 assists, and 133 steals.

When Paxson joined the NBA Draft in 1983, he was selected as the 19th overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs. He stayed with the team for two seasons until he signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bulls. He announced his retirement on August 22, 1994.

He had a brief stint as Chicago Bulls' assistant coach in 1995. Paxson became a radio broadcaster and joined Neil Funk's show. In 2003, he was named as Bulls' Vice President of Basketball Relations.

John MacBeth Paxson was born on September 29, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio. He is married to Carolyn Paxson and has a son.
