Danny Manning is an American college basketball coach and retired National Basketball Association player with an estimated net worth of $20 million. He was drafted as the first pick of the Los Angeles Clippers during the 1998 NBA Draft. He brought home the 1997-1998 Sixth Man Award and he was recognized as the best reserve player while playing for the Phoenix Suns team.

After retiring from professional basketball in 2003,  Manning served as an assistant coach and the director of student-athlete development at Kansas University. He was also appointed as the team manager of the KU basketball team. He became an assistant coach after replacing Tim Jankovich who took the position as head coach at the Illinois State University.  On April 2012, Danny Manning was announced to be Tulsa's head coach. After his two-year stint with the team, he was hired as Wake Forest Demon Deacon's head coach.

Born Daniel Ricardo Manning on May 17, 1966 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, he is the son of the late Ed Manning, who was a longtime NBA and ABA player and professional and college coach. Sports, especially basketball, really runs through their blood.
