Considered as one of the two college football coaches who have won both a Super Bowl and College Football National Championship, Barry Switzer is a retired football coach with an estimated net worth of $5 million as of 2012.
After graduating from the University of Kansas, Barry Switzer joined the army but after a while, he returned to the academy as an assistant college football coach. When the 1966 season ended, Switzer joined the University of Oklahoma still as an assistant coach. When the then head coach Chuck Fairbanks joined New England Patriots to become the head coach, Switzer immediately became the head coach of University of Oklahoma. Under his leadership, Barry Switzer won the 1974, 1975 and 1985 championships. On his 16-year tenure with the University of Oklahoma, the team emerged victorious in 8 out of 13 post season bowl games they have participated in. Furthermore, 54 of his players were declared as All-Americans.
In 1994, he was hired as the coach of the Dallas Cowboys and eight years later, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He is also a recipient of the Jim Thorpe Lifetime Achievement Award.
