In 1997, Chad Reed won the Australian Junior Motocross. In 1999 and 2000, he was declared as the Australian Supercross Champion. He also joined the U.S. Open competition in 2003 and 2004, and won. In 2002, he was the AMA East Coast Lites SX champion and a year later, he won the FIM World Supercross Championship.
