Cain Velasquez is a Mexican-American mixed martial artist fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has an estimated net worth of $900 thousand as a two-time and current UFC Heavyweight Champion. He was born on July 28, 1982 in Salinas, CA to Efrain and Isabel Velasquez. His father is an illegal immigrant to the US from Mexico. He met and married American-born Isabel that allowed him to attain his US citizenship. Cain has two siblings, Efrain Jr. and Adela, and they were raised in Yuma, Arizona. He graduated from Kofa High School and he recorded 110-10 in wrestling for four years including winning the 5A Arizona Wrestling Championship twice as rated by ESPN and NBC Sports as of November 2011. He also played football as a quarterback for three years. He served as captain of both his football and wrestling team during his senior year.

Cain Velasquez attended the Iowa Central Community College wrestling for one season and winning the NJCAA National Championship. He transferred to Arizona State University and wrestling for the Sun Devils for three seasons where he had a record of 86-17. He placed 5th in the country in 2005 and 4th in 2006. While in the university, he also wrestled along with UFC fighters Ryan Bader and C.B. Dollaway.

Velasquez won the No-Ge Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt championships and he also holds a brown belt under Dave Camarillo. He debuted in the UFC83 fighting against Brad Morris and he won due to strikes in round one.

Cain is married to his girlfriend Michelle ion May 28, 2011 and they have one daughter names Coral Love. He speaks fluently both English and Spanish. He guest starred on Spanish television networks Telemundo and Univision. He had a guest feature on Lopez Tonight on TBS and also in the music video Te Siento for Wisin & Yandel.
