Former English-Yemeni professional boxer, Naseem Hamed has a net worth of $33 million. He is the former WBO, WBC, IBF, & Lineal featherweight champion, and European bantamweight champion. Hamed was a featherweight legend, and quit the ring 10 years ago. He was a showman, losing just one of his 37 fights and winning 31 by knockout.
Hamed was born in Sheffield, England to Yemeni parents, in 1974, Hamed trained as a telephone engineer and started boxing professionally in 1992. He claimed the European bantamweight title aged 20 and the WBO world featherweight title a year later. He was unbeaten until facing Marco Antonio Barrera in Las Vegas in 2001 when he lost on points. Earning £5m a fight at his prime, Hamed's career earnings were put at £30m. He supplemented his prize money with sponsorship deals with the likes of Adidas and Sony.
Naseem Hamed Enterprises showed £3m net assets in 2010-11. He was jailed in 2006 after a high-speed crash that left the driver of the other car seriously injured. He was was manager of light heavyweight star Callum Johnson until the pair split in December 2011.
