Tim Raines is a former American professional baseball player which has an estimated net worth of $12 million.
Tim Raines began his baseball career when he was selected by the Montreal Expos during the fifth round of the Major League Baseball Draft in 1977. He debuted with the team in 1979 as a pinch runner. After 11 years playing for the Expos, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox in 1990.
During his stint as a baseball player, he played for several teams such as the New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, and Florida Marlins. He was named a National League All-Star from 1981 to 1987, and Most Valuable Player during the All-Star Game in 1987. In 2013, he was elected into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
Raines' coaching career started in 2003 when he managed Class A-Advanced Brevard County Manatees, an affiliate of the Montreal Expos. He served as Chicago White Sox's coach from 2004 to 2006. Then, he signed a two-year contract managing the Newark Bears in 2009. In 2013, he was hired by the Toronto Blue Jays as their baserunning and outfield coach.
Timothy Raines was born on September 16th 1959 in Sanford, Florida. He is married to Shannon Watson and has four children, two of which from his previous marriage to Virginia Hilton.
