About Randy Johnson
Retired American baseball player Randy Johnson has an estimated net worth of $115 million in 2012. Randall David Johnson spent twenty two years of his life as a left hand pitcher for six teams of Major Baseball League (MLB).
Though he was selected by Montreal Expos as a second round pick in the 1985 Major League Baseball Draft, Randy Johnson only debuted into MLB in 1988. Between 1988 and 1999, he played 11 games with the Expos. In 1989, he was traded to Seattle Mariners in exchange for Mark Langston.
When the 1998 season started, Randy Johnson was quite upset with the Mariners when they refused to offer him an extension contract. In July of the same year, he was traded to Houston Astros in exchange for Carlos Guillen, John Halama and Freddy Garcia.
He only played for one season with the Astros. From 1999 through 2004 seasons, he played for the Arizona Diamondbacks which offered him a four-year $52.4 million worth of contract. Before the 2005-2006 season, Johnson was traded to the New York Yankees in exchange for Dioner Navarro, Brad Halsey, Javier Vazquez and some cash consideration.
For the 2007-2008 season, he had his second stint with the Arizona Diamondbacks. In December 2008, he agreed to a one-year $8 million contract with the San Francisco Giants with possibilities of a $2.5 million award bonus and another $2.5 million performance bonus.
Currently living in Paradise Valley California, Randy Johnson is with his wife Lisa and their four children named Alexandria, Sammy, Willow and Tanner, plus his other child from previous relationship named Heather.
