Nolan Ryan is a former pitcher in the Major League Baseball (MLB) and he has an estimated net worth of $60 million. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Rangers.

Lynn Nolan Ryan Jr. was born on January 31, 1947 in Refugio, Texas and grew up in Alvin, Texas. At a young age, he was encouraged by his father to play baseball.

When he was nine, Ryan joined Alvin Little League Baseball and made it to the all-star team when he was 11 and 12. He attended Alvin High School where he also played baseball. He held the senior year strikeout record for 44 years while retiring 21 hitters in a game.

Nolan Ryan began his professional career in 1965 when he was drafted by the New York Mets in the 12th round of the 1965 MLB Draft. He played with the team until 1971. He was traded to the California Angels on December 10, 971 and played from 1972 to 1979.

During the 1979 season, he signed with the Houston Astros and played between 1980 and 1989 season. Having a conflict with the team, he left the Astros following the 1988 season and joined with the Texas Rangers until 1993. He was an eight time All-Star selection and the only pitcher to have pitched seven “no hitters” in his 27-year career. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
