Minnie Minoso is a retired Cuban professional baseball player who started off his career when he joined the Negro Leagues. He played as the third baseman for the team. He was known by the name "El Charro Negro", and The Cuban Comet.
In 1948, he signed up to play for the Cleveland Indians as an amateur free agent. Minoso has been with several teams such as Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, and Washington Senators.
Minoso returned to MLB after spending several years in Mexico. He appeared in three games with the White Sox. He was one of the players in the Major League history to appear in seven decades.
Saturnino Orestes Armas Miñoso Arrieta was born on November 29, 1925 in Havana, Cuba. He has a son from his second wife, Sharon.
