Max Scherzer is an American professional baseball player who has an estimated net worth of $68 million.

Max Scherzer joined Parkway Central High School's baseball team. Eventually, he was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals as the 43rd round, 1,291st overall pick during the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft. However, he did not sign to play for the team, but after three years, he was chosen by the Arizona Diamondbacks as the first round, 11th overall pick.

While with the Diamondbacks, he finished the 2009 season with 30 starts, and 174 strikeouts in 170 1/3 pitched. Scherzer was traded to Detroit Tigers. During his stint for the team, he played twice for the All-Star Game in 2013 and 2014, and named as the recipient of American League's Cy Young Award in 2013. After his four-year stint with the Tigers, he signed a seven-year contract with Washington Nationals in 2015.
