Koji Uehara is a Japanese professional baseball player currently playing for the Boston Red Sox with an estimated net worth of $8 million as of April 2014.
Koji Uehara started his career in his homeland, Japan. He was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants after he graduated from the Osaka University of Health and Sport Sciences in 1998.
He received Rookie of the Year, and Eiji Sawamura awards. Uehara's stint with the Giants until 2008 when he became a free agent and allowed to play for the Major League Baseball.
Uehara landed a spot for the Baltimore Orioles. He signed a two-year deal with the team on January 13, 2009. After several months, he left the team and became a setup reliever in the bullpen during the 2010 season.
Then, he was traded by Orioles to the Texas Rangers in 2011. A year later, Uehara signed a contract with the Boston Red Sox in 2012. He named as American League Championship Series' Most Valuable Player, and led the team winning World Series championship in 2013.
