Also known as "The Reverend", Hunter Pence is an American baseball athlete who currently plays in the Major League Baseball for the San Francisco Giants as the team's outfielder. In 2012, he received a salary of $10.4 million.

Hunter Andrew Pence was born on April 13, 1983 in Fort Worth, Texas. After playing as a shortstop in his senior year, he played as a designated hitter for the baseball team of Texarkana College. He also attended University of Texas at Arlington, where he served as outfielder.

Later on, he was selected as a 40th round pick by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft, though he was not signed by the franchise. Pence debuted into the Major League Baseball in 2007 with the Houston Astros. He played for the Astros until the 2011 season. In 2011, he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. In July 2012, he was sent to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Seth Rosin, Tommy Joseph and Nate Schierholtz.
