Eric Hosmer is an American professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $8 million.

Eric Hosmer started his career when he attended American Heritage School, a school known for its impressive baseball program in Florida. During his senior year with the team, he hit .470 with 11 home runs and received a lot of accolades such as the Miami Herald's Florida's Baseball Player of the Year and American Amateur Baseball Congress Connie Mack MVP award, among others.

He entered the 2008 MLB Draft and was selected by the Kansas City Royals as the first round, 3rd overall pick. Hosmer was assigned to play for Royals' Pioneer League affiliate, Idaho Falls Chukars. During his stint for the minor league, he played with several teams such as Burlington Royals, Wilmington Blue Rocks, Northwest Arkansas Naturals, and Omaha Storm Chasers.

Hosmer was recalled by the Royals on May 5, 2011. He finished 14 home runs and 60 RBI in 2012 season. He received the Gold Glove award in 2013 and 2014.
