Don Mattingly is a former American baseball player with an estimated net worth of $23 million.

Don Mattingly started his career when he joined the Little League Baseball as a first baseman. Then, he played for Reitz Memorial High School's Tigers baseball team. During his stint with the team, they won the state championship in 1978 and hailed as runner-up in 1979.

Also, he was the recipient of L.V. Phillips Mental Attitude in 1979. Mattingly was an All-City, All-Southern Indiana Athletic Conference and All-State both in 1978 and 1979. He accepted a scholarship to play for the Indiana State Sycamores but he joined the 1979 MLB Draft wherein he is selected in the 19th round.

Mattingly appeared six times for the MLB All-Star game. He was a nine-time Gold Glove awardee and three-time Silver Slugger Award recipient. He announced his retirement in 1997.

After he retired from playing baseball, he spent seven seasons as a special instructor for the Yankees from 1997 to 2003. Mattingly became the bench coach for the team after the 2006 season. He moved to the Los Angeles Dodgers as hitting coach in 2008 but replaced citing family reasons.

Mattingly served as the special assignment coach in 2008. He became the manager of the Dodgers and made its debut on March 31, 2011 in a match against San Francisco Giants.
