Curtis Granderson is an American professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $58 million.

Curtis Granderson played basketball and baseball for Thorton Fractional South High School. During his stint with the team, he batted .369, 11 home runs, and 88 RBI. He was named to the All-State selection.

A lot of college baseball programs recruited him, but Granderson decided to join the University of Illinois' UIC Flames baseball team in 2000, instead. He was named to the Second-Team All-American by the Baseball America.

Granderson was selected by the Detroit Tigers as the third round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. He was assigned to several Tiger's minor league affiliate such as Oneonta Tigers, Class-A Advanced Lakeland Tigers, and Class-AA Erie Seawolves.

He was promoted to the majors in 2004. Granderson moved to New York Yankees after spending five seasons with the Tigers. During his stint with the Yankees, he received the Marvin Miller Man of the Year in 2009 and Silver Slugger Award in 2011. He appeared to play in the MLB All-Star Game in 2009, 2011 and 2012. In 2013, he signed a four-year contract with the New York Mets.
