Arlie Latham is a former American baseball player for several teams such as New York Yankees.

Arlie Latham's career as a third baseman started when he played for the local team at Stoneham, Massachusetts. In 1877, he joined the team from Pittsfield, Massachusetts as a third baseman.

He debuted in minor league baseball when Latham joined the Springfield in 1879. Then, he landed a spot for the National League's Buffalo Bisons in 1880. Latham played for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1881 and Philadelphia Phillies in 1882. Then, he returned to Major League Baseball when he played for the St. Louis Browns in 1883. He transferred to Chicago Pirates in 1890.

Other teams that Latham joined such as Cincinnati Reds, Washington Senators and New York Giants. He was Major League's first full-time coach for St. Louis Browns in 1896.

Walter Arlington Latham was born on March 15, 1860 in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. During his stint as a baseball player, he was known as "The Freshest Man of Earth". He died on November 29, 1952 in Garden City, New York.
