Retired Dutch kick boxer Bas Rutten is a world-renowned mixed martial artist, Karate, Taekwondo blackbelt and kick boxer. He was a UFC Heavyweight Champion, three time King of Pancrase world champion and finished his career on a 22 fight unbeaten streak with 21 wins and one draw. He is currently the star of Punk Payback in Fuel TV and the co-host of Inside MMA on HDNet. He had provided color commentary for several fight organizations such as the former Pride Fighting Championships. Bas Rutten was the former Undefeated UFC Heavyweight Champion. He won the belt when he defeated Kevin Randleman by decision at UFC 20. He had a fifth Degree Blackbelt in Kyukoshin Karate and a second Degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo. He has won 14 straight Muay-Thai boxing matches by knockout before his first defeat. He has defeated MMA champions Minoru Suzuki, Maurice Smith, Frank Shamrock, Guy Mezger, Masakatsu Funaki, Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, and Randleman.

Rutten also made a name for himself as an actor, host and television personality outside the ring. He has appeared in various television shows, movies and video games. He is also known for his charisma and has capitalized on being a celebrity since retiring from fighting in 1999.

Born Sebastiaan Rutten on February 24, 1965 in Tilburg, Netherlands, he now lives in Westlake Village, CA with wife Karin and two daughters Sabin and Bianca.
