It takes a lot of work to get legs like Ariel Winter’s. How do we know? Because she’s recently taken to Instagram to reveal her secrets, and it should come as no surprise that it looks a lot harder than just laying around all day on the couch.

Winter’s most recent Instagram post featured a short video of her performing some donkey kicks. And yes, that’s the name of the exercise, you can see where the name comes from in the vid below.

Ariel’s skin-tight lycra pants show off every hour spent toning that bottom, complete with lighting that seems to put a spotlight on her most generous assets. That’s not to say that the rest of her is a slouch! She’s clearly been holding that pose for some time given her well-defined tris and core.

While the video clearly steals the show, Winter also revealed the secret to her workout: mackfit. Mack is a personal trainer that also has his own branded workout program, complete with personalized core sliders. What’s a core slider? It’s a little piece of a plastic you step on to make your feet slide out from under you. Doing so allows you to perform some leg movements while planking that works both your glutes and your core to the utmost.

As you can see from her Snapchat photo, Winter can certainly feel the burn when using those core sliders.

Of course, there’s more to getting a glistening and taught behind than fancy plastic footwear. If you want a truly poppin’ badonkadonk, then you gotta lift. Ariel’s workout regime naturally includes some weight-assisted squats. Here she is with her boyfriend Levi as she drops low for the camera.

Along with the crazy core workout combined with squats and lunges, Winter starts off her routine with a 1-mile warmup run to get the blood pumping. Once done, it’s off to the workout floor where she gets in her aforementioned squats, lunges, and planks, then it’s off to the weights for more booty-busting and muscle burning work.

It’s enough to get you sweating just looking at her pictures.
